Quality Assurance International offers "Contains Organic Ingredients" organic certification to personal care products industry. Utilizing the NSF/ANS 305: "Contains Organic Ingredients" Personal Care Products Standard, companies that can demonstrate a minimum organic content of 70 percent (070) or more and comply with all requirements of this standard, will be certified by QAI and able to make the organic label and marketing claims of Contains Organic Ingredients. This standard encourages participation by manufacturers of personal care products to use organically grown ingredients within the supply chain. It emphasizes open disclosure of impact and benefits, does not compromise proprietary, patented, or trade secret information and provides an opportunity for companies that may not be able to meet the current USDA organic food regulation.
